Performance
This acrylic hitbox comes with mechanical buttons and SOCD cleaning. The controllers allows you to switch between different SOCD resolutions. SOCD cleaning can be summarized as:
- Up + down = up
- Left + right = neutral
The Raspberry Pi board features SOCD, but depending on your model, instead of having a dedicated button, it uses a mixture of inputs in order to change the settings.
As for the buttons, there are two buttons on the side for start and select. There should also be buttons for SOCD, LS/DP/RS, home, back, start, L3, and R3. If your main appeal in this hitbox is the buttons, you can order them separately. The buttons feel more like keyboard keys than arcade buttons, and many players prefer the keyboard style.
In any case, you can swap out the pink silent Kailh BOX switches to customize the feel, tension, and actuation. Kailh BOX switches are relatively light and close to Sanwa parts when it comes to the feel. Furthermore, they have a soft bump above the actuation point, so you have to travel farther from the bump to actually actuate the switch.
Hardware
The acrylic of the hitbox is of good quality. This controller is light and easy to carry. When it comes to the wiring inside, it is neat, and the USB cable is of good quality too.
With a maxed out PCB, Neogeo Mini and Sega Genesis Mini compatibility can also be achieved, and by the way, your order will probably come with a piece of cloth for cleaning purposes.
