Quick Facts

Performance

The joystick and buttons of the Mayflash Arcade Fightstick F101 are of above average quality, but they are not excellent. Those who are truly serious about their craft will likely find themselves upgrading the joystick and buttons to something like Sanwa.

Otherwise, the stock parts are not too shabby, and there is no reason why a good player cannot win a tournament with this arcade stick. In other words, it gets the job done. Also, if you are a turbo user, the turbo function works quite well.

Hardware

This is a mini arcade stick, and Mayflash has deliberately built this arcade stick to be customizable. Perhaps its exclusion of Sanwa parts from the get go was deliberate to lower the price, and the compensation was that the F101 is customizable for those who want to pay extra to get Sanwa parts after purchasing the product.

As for the build itself, it is made of high quality plastic, and the metal panel increases the weight for stability, which is also boosted by big rubber feet. Note that you can visit the manufacturer’s website to update the firmware.

Appearance

The F101 goes for a simple black aesthetic that is not flashy nor bad looking. Minimalists may find themselves in love with the design. Otherwise, others may want to upgrade the art with a sticker to go for something more representative of their personalities or interests.

For art, we have our own custom artwork service. Our artist, Felipe Fernandez, once made NieR art for a client’s Mayflash F101. Would you like a custom design for your own?
