Performance
The Evapor 11Q has three extra face buttons, and four function buttons can be found on the left. You can choose from Cherry MX Black or Silver switches to go with the buttons, which feel snappy and responsive. Even the function buttons feel good. As for the switches, go for the black ones if you like a weighted feel, and go for silver if you prefer lightness.
There are four rectangular pads at each bottom corner so your 11Q does not slide. The USB port is on the right, which might make it obstructive in a way that makes you prefer playing with the controller on a table (rather than on your lap). On the bright side, the PCB features SOCD cleaning, so your controller should not violate tournament regulations.
Hardware
Made of mahogany, the 11Q’s wood has a robust feel, so you should not worry about malleability. If your unit comes with a crack, it should only be cosmetic and not affect the performance.
There is an aluminum-alloy base plate, making the controller 20% metal, especially because the inner parts of the walnut buttons contain aluminum (as well as stainless steel).
Appearance
The 11Q is a work of art. The mahogany looks beautiful, and the black walnut buttons seal the deal when it comes to the aesthetics department of this controller.
Conclusion
The Evapor 11Q is the type of controller that is not only beautiful but can also perform well in hectic matches.
- Robust wood
- Responsive buttons
- Quality switches
