Performance
This handmade piece is made to order from oak or purpleheart, and you can ask 2nd Stage Creations special requests. The Sanwa buttons are state-of-the-art and work well. In any case, if you feel that the buttons are slightly smaller than your preference, you can let Marcus from 2nd Stage Creations know, preferably beforehand.
The secondary buttons are heavier to press, well, at least if you request them to be placed on the top panel, and they are heavier probably to avoid accidental presses, but one thing we definitely recommend is that you make sure there is enough wrist space on your build because there might be little of it by default.
As for the weight of the controller, it is impressive how moderately weighted it is if not slightly light, given the quality material it is made of as well as its size. Even the braided and detachable USB 3.0 type A-to-A cable is solid, thanks to the rubber cover on it as well that prevents the entry of unwanted debris.
Hardware
The hitbox style has 16-17 buttons, which include four buttons for D-pad inputs and four secondary buttons: start, select, L3, and R3 in addition to the nine standard face buttons. The console controllers come with a 17th button that serves as a PS/home button.
Again, 2nd Stage Creations invites you to specify if you prefer the secondary buttons being placed on top near the cable or on the face panel above the main buttons. In fact, you can choose the entire button layout!
Appearance
The wood looks even better in person. It can be oak or purpleheart.
