Performance

The BnB Fightstick Gen 2 is an all-acrylic fightstick that is durable and maintains its quality performance. An improvement over its predecessor, it has undergone some noticeable changes, with one change being rounded corners and smoother angles that soften the overall shape, avoiding hard edges that may cause it to scratch other surfaces, such as your skin. This also means that the Gen 2 is not compatible with the Gen 1. Besides the new corners and angles, the supporting panel and side panels of the Gen 2 contain a second tab that is incompatible with the Gen 1.

Hardware

This is a fully customizable fightstick that you can order however you like. You will have to assemble the fightstick yourself, but it is easy to assemble. Laser cut to shape, this customizable wonder is beginner friendly, and each of the pieces fit together nicely via pre-cut spaces.

The joystick utilizes a simple set of bolts, washers, and nuts. You can choose from eight panel layouts, which include Vewlix, all buttons, Shiokenstar, Noir, Korean Noir, Sega 2P Extended, Korean Sega 2P Extended, and WASD buttons. Choose from four Brook PCBs based on your desired platform compatibility.

The jigsaw sides increase durability, no longer making the fightstick prone to accidentally cracking during installation. Furthermore, the joystick hole in the support panel has been enlarged for low-profile Korean collar levers.

Appearance

The new corners and angles make the fightstick look sleeker. The acrylic design makes the fightstick open to receiving any printed artwork, and an illustration can reach the outer edges. You can even stack two prints on top of each other through the innermost and outermost panels.

Fortunately, swapping the top panel’s layout does not require purchasing an entirely new enclosure. You can also add more layouts over time. Included per purchase is an instant detailing pack for plexiglass.

If you would like custom art for your BnB Gen 2, our artist, Carlos Martinez, made art for it, and he can do the same for your BnB Gen 2:

Conclusion

Highly customizable and high quality, this fightstick deserves every cent of its price even though the price can change depending on your choices and addons or lack thereof. You might splurge on some of the higher end options and throw in an addon or two without the price becoming exaggerated. In fact, you can end up with a build that is better than ready made fightsticks by other reputable brands but at the same price or even lower.
