Performance
The RAC-P300J is hefty with its rubber feet to keep it fixed onto flat surfaces. While the joystick is passable, the buttons are hard, inconsistent, and can get stuck when wiped. What is also bad is that buttons make a clicking sound well after they are registered in-game.
Hardware
No native controllers are needed when playing on console. However, opening up the case is difficult without something along the lines of a small adjustable wrench because of the tough-to-remove screws. While the interior is simple, it is incorrectly laid out, so the buttons are set up wrong. Besides that, the casing is fine.
Be warned that there has been at least one report of a counterpart of this model not being identified by the PlayStation as it is supposed to. If you do manage to get it to work on PC, your buttons might be wrong unless you download third party software.
Appearance
The metallic case and acrylic panel look great, especially with the sophisticated artwork that combines minimalism and complexity in a fashion unseen before. The joystick and buttons have a shine to them as well. This arcade stick could blend in nicely in a marble museum!
Conclusion
This would have been a great mini arcade stick if it did not have its shortcomings.
