Performance

The buttons feel good and are mostly 24 mm EG STARTS buttons with one 30 mm button. You can request that the function buttons be placed on the face of the controller if that is more convenient for you. The traditional style comes with 12 buttons, but the button-box style comes with 16, which include:

  • Four buttons for D-pad inputs
  • Four buttons for functions (start, select, L3, and R3)

Despite the wood being high quality, the controller will likely be pleasantly lighter than you think. It feels fine on one’s lap, and playing on a table is viable as well since there is padding at the bottom. The wood’s finish is smooth with round edges for wrist comfort.

Hardware

This is a handmade controller made of ambrosia maple. There is also a bigger edition called the small edition, which is 12″ x 8″ x 2″. It is called the small edition because small is bigger than mini.

Besides the PC edition, the PlayStation edition that comes with a Brook PCB also has a home/PS button. Any internal imperfections should strictly be visual and not affect the performance.

Appearance

The ambrosia maple is quite aesthetic, and the wood’s burl is quite nice. The home/PS button’s color as well as the up button’s color change depending on availability. You can tell 2nd Stage Creations your preference as well as preferences regarding other aspects of the controller.

Conclusion

One could not have asked for a much better mini hitbox made out of quality wood and buttons!

  • Customizable order
  • Gorgeous wood
  • Convenient weight
  • Ergonomic design

  • Potential internal imperfections
