Introduction

Assembled by hand in Oxford, UK, a region that community members often want to buy hitboxes from, OkiBoardArcades bestowed the OkiBoard upon us. It has multiple layouts, including WASD and Street Fighter 6 layouts.

Performance

There are red and navy blue Kailh BOX switches. All editions include secondary keycaps that use navy blue Kailh BOX switches, which are heavy, clicky, and prevent accidental presses. Kailh BOX switches are known for being less wobbly and for having an enhanced tactile feel with a crisp sound.

The secondary keycaps include start, select, and home. The OkiBoard has ample space to rest your wrists. No input delay was experienced during the testing of this product.

Hardware

The thickness of the OkiBoard is just right. It is thinner than average but not thin enough to displease those who do not prefer ultra slim controllers. As for the controller itself, it is precision laser cut from acrylic and steel for durability purposes.

Again, the OkiBoard comes with red Kailh BOX switches, but thanks to hot-swap sockets, it is compatible with any switch in the MX style. Included is a switch puller. A switch puller, as its name indicates, helps you pull switches out.

A USB-C cable is included. The JST connector allows for compatibility with any Brook PCB for easy upgrades. The OkiBoard is in fact easy to open.

Appearance

Although the OkiBoard can be prone to showing fingerprint smudges, especially if you go for the black edition and not the white edition, the front & back panels of the OkiBoard were designed with artwork customization in mind, so if you are up for it, check out our custom artwork service.
