Overview

The 801 Workshop Controller SF/Pico is a large yet slim stickless controller with three extra buttons for L3, R3, and touchpad in case your fighting game of choice needs them.

The switches of this black controller are MX style, and there are removable spacer plates for a total travel distance of 2 mm. The switches can be TTC Speed Silvers or even Geonworks Raptor MX Extremes. The hot swap socket is in the Gateron MX style.

As for the function buttons, they are for:

  • Home
  • Share
  • Options
  • Touchpad
  • L3/LS
  • R3/RS
  • AUX

There are toggles for SOCD, direction, and lock modes. The SOCD modes include up priority, true neutral, and last win. The directional modes include left stick, right stick, and D-pad.

The case is aluminum with a sandblasted finish. Five screws hold the top together, and there are 13 screws down yonder, which is where you can also find four anti-slip pads. There is plenty of wrist resting space on top.

The USB-C port in the center back left is held together by two screws, and the cable is USB-C to A. You may also get a switch puller, a couple of spare switches, a couple of small button caps, and spare screws.
