Introduction

This arcade stick is a clone of the Evangelion e:Project, Mad Catz TE2+, Martial 1, and PXN-X9.

Performance

The Joytron Ultra Fighter Edition Arcade Fight Stick has a Sanwa joystick and buttons. You see, Sanwa parts are known for responsivity and durability.

About the joystick, you can switch between left stick, right stick, and D-pad modes. There is a turbo function that can go up to roughly 20 presses a second. There is also a tournament lock to avoid pressing secondary buttons by mistake.

Two secondary buttons can be found in the back of this Joytron. The non-slip rubber pad at the bottom is there to enhance stability during gameplay.

There is also a 3.5 mm audio jack, which can help you stay in the zone during play, especially if listening to gameplay sounds helps you pull off tougher combos more consistently.

Hardware

You can pop the Joytron open with the press of a button. The wiring is neat, and the interior is spacious enough to store other items of yours as you travel to tournaments, for example. Otherwise, this is what should be inside:

  • A screwdriver
  • A joystick gate
  • A couple of spare buttons
  • A detachable USB A-to-C cable

Appearance

The Joytron has a nice shape, the button LED is beautiful, and the artwork spruces up the design a little bit. Otherwise, the artwork is customizable, and we at The Arcade Stick can provide you custom art for the Joytron. For instance, check out the work of our Carlos Rios for the same model:
