Introduction

This arcade stick is a clone of the Joytron Ultra Fighter Edition, Mad Catz TE2+, Martial 1, and PXN-X9.

Performance

The Evangelion e:Project Arcade Controller has a Sanwa joystick and buttons. Sanwa parts are known for responsivity and durability.

Regarding the joystick, you can switch between left stick, right stick, and D-pad modes. There is a turbo functionality that is roughly up to 20 presses a second. There is also a lock to avoid pressing secondary buttons during play.

Speaking of which, two secondary buttons can be found in the back. The non-slip rubber pad at the bottom is there to enhance stability during play.

There is also a 3.5 mm audio jack, which means you can stay in the zone during play, especially if listening to gameplay sounds helps you pull off tough combos more consistently.

Hardware

You can pop open the arcade stick with the press of a button. The wiring is neat, and the interior is spacious enough to store other items of yours. Otherwise, this is what is inside by default:

  • Screwdriver
  • Two spare buttons
  • Detachable USB A-to-C cable

Appearance

The arcade stick has a nice shape, but perhaps more importantly, the buttons have LEDs, which beautify the look. Otherwise, the artwork is customizable, and we at The Arcade Stick can provide you custom art for this model. Check out the work of our Carlos Rios for this model:
