Overview
The BattleHut V16B is an ergonomic controller made of:
- Polymeric foam
- Natural rubber
- Black felt
- PLA
- PVB
- PMMA
The button panels and wrists rests of the V16B are slanted, relaxing your wrists & hands into a position of comfort. Regarding the buttons, they are bigger than your standard 30 mm buttons, but because the layout is more compact, your fingers should get less fatigued.
The V16B’s buttons (as well as the D-pad) have Sanwa microswitches with a guided linear motion and just a couple of millimeters of travel distance. By the way, the controller features a turbo mode. In fact, five function buttons can be found on the controller’s right side:
- Home
- Back
- Touchpad/share
- Turbo
- Start
As for the V16B’s D-pad:
- Makes the controller usable in WASD format
- Can set the left thumb button to up or down
- Easy finger sliding across the buttons
- Diagonal button access for clean inputs in eight directions
There are different versions of the V16B, such as the V16B-XB and V16B-FU, the latter of which contains the Brook UFB Fusion PCB, a multiplatform powerhouse with four SOCD cleaning modes. PlayStation 5 fighting games are compatible, but the Xbox Series X requires that you buy the V16B-XB version of the controller.
If we were to wrap things up with one of the most distinguishable features of the V16B compared to its ergonomic competitors, it would be its sheer size, so if size, ergonomics, and luxury are what you are looking for, then check this innovation out!
