Overview
The Mayflash F500 FLAT Elite is another stickless installment in the long running F500 series, this time with Sanwa buttons. Sanwa buttons are known for their optimal travel distance, so they do not trigger too fast nor too slowly.
The F500 FLAT Elite also has L3 and R3 buttons as action buttons. All the face buttons are 24 mm, except for the jump button, which is 30 mm. The start button being recessed makes it harder for you to press accidentally.
The F500 FLAT Elite’s width makes it comfortable for both lap and desk play. You see, the controller is big enough with plenty of space for your wrists to rest. Plus, the four rubber feet at the bottom boost the stability.
Moving on, the F500 FLAT Elite has five SOCD cleaning modes, which are default mode, standard mode, tournament mode, first input priority, and last input priority.
As for the two turbo speeds at your disposal, they include 15 or 25 times per second. For your convenience, the F500 FLAT Elite has turbo and mode light indicators.
As for the F500 FLAT Elite’s secondary toggles and buttons, here they are:
- XInput/DInput/PS3/SNK
- LS/DP/RS
- Turbo-1/Turbo-2
- Turbo
- Touchpad
- Select/back/share/view
- PS/home
- Start/options/menu
With that being said, you may be glad to know that the F500 FLAT Elite is not too heavy to carry around. In fact, its metallic enclosure and base increase the overall security. Furthermore, there is a headphone port, and next to that port is a mute button as well as another port for a rumble wrist strap.
If needed, the F500 FLAT Elite’s buttons are easily replaceable because the bottom screws are quite easy to see. Additionally, the interior is organized and color coded.
Now, a native controller may be needed when playing on some consoles. Otherwise, grab the Mayflash Magic-S Ultimate to give the F500 FLAT Elite some PlayStation 5 compatibility if you like.
Regarding the cable, it comes out of a compartment on the left side, and the F500 FLAT Elite also comes with USB-C, micro USB, and OTG USB cables.
The F500 FLAT Elite has a simple color scheme, with the buttons being white, red, and black. If your controller accumulates fingerprint smudges after some time, you can wipe them down with a microfiber towel or even a cloth.
On a closing note, there is a clear acrylic panel for the F500 FLAT Elite, and we would like to let you know that you can order our custom art service here at The Arcade Stick if you want. Take a look at these examples of F500 FLAT artworks by our teammates James Tran and Milford Peynado:
