Performance
The GRAM PRI$M is an ergonomic controller for games that range from Super Smash Bros to Rivals of Aether. Even traditional fighting games like Guilty Gear Strive can be played with the controller if you use a standard leverless layout.
The PRI$M is a modular version of the Prism by WunWzn. It has the pinout for firmwares like HayBox but can also be compatible with the GP2040-CE. Both firmwares can provide you seamless gameplay. Another difference between the PRI$M and Prism is the USB-C connection, the industry’s favorite kind.
The modular nature of the PRI$M allows you access to layouts such as:
- Top row home
- Traditional B0XX
- WASD
So, whichever layout you feel maximizes your performance, you can go for it.
Due to the PRI$M’s ergonomic design, your hands should rest naturally on it. You have 20 Chosfox PBT keycaps at your disposal with Kailh Choc Red Pro switches. The keycaps are grippy, preventing your fingers from slipping, and the switches have a light actuation, resulting in speedy inputs.
Hardware
The PRI$M is made of quality aluminum and robust PLA. If you are looking to access the interior of the controller, note that the space is quite limited.
Because the PRI$M is a 3D printed controller, it can be prone to blemishes, but GRAM Digital Controllers tries its best with each print, so you should not worry about any blemishes.
With your PRI$M, you should be receiving a USB-C to GCC cable, and you should also be receiving a braided USB-C to A cable. For PlayStation 5 compatibility, you can insert an appropriate dongle. By the way, if you were wondering, the controller’s PCB was designed by QuarkWorks.
Appearance
The material of the PRI$M is not only robust but aesthetic as well, giving you the best of both worlds. The controller is available in colors that include red, orange, and lime. You can even get the controller in a squiggly zebra pattern.
As for the PRI$M’s keycaps, they are often white. The back of the controller features text with the controller’s name, and a little above that, symbols can be engraved.
Conclusion
The GRAM PRI$M allows you to play Smash and other titles ergonomically with a variety of possible layouts.
