Performance
The Clear – Lite is a leverless controller by Perfect Clear. Its buttons, although they may have slightly different heights, feel good as they are, but the buttons of the Lite also use hot swappable MX switches that allow you to idealize the button feeling for yourself.
There are different switch options you can choose from when shopping for a Lite. The average response time is 1 ms, and SOCD cleaning is customizable.
The Lite is best used on a desk. Three secondary buttons can be found on the upper left, and three more can be found on the upper right. Now, that is tactical positioning!
Do be gentle when using the Lite to avoid the unlikely situation of some of the parts coming off. Also, not all of the acrylic layers may have the same strength, so take heed while handling them.
Hardware
Unless you go for the premium Brook Fusion PCB option, the Lite is powered by a Raspberry Pi Pico that runs the GP2040 firmware for optimal response timing. The USB-C port comes out near the center back.
One thing worth mentioning is that GamaKay and Akko switches rarely seem to be supported by such controllers, which is a pleasant surprise with the Lite. Another compliment the Lite deserves is its cutouts to insert PCBs.
Appearance
In addition to supporting customizable RGB LED, the Lite being made of layered acrylic results in a slim and attractive design. If you did not already know, we at The Arcade Stick have a custom art service.
Conclusion
The Clear – Lite is an innovative mini stickless controller with decent compatibility.
- Hot swapping
- GamaKay & Akko switch support
