Overview

Just when you thought JackWagon FightSticks could not get any more creative, it released the ShoGun of Harlem FightStick—one of the most flamboyant fightsticks to date.

With this fightstick, you will be sure to turn some heads at the next tournament. One reason is because it features Sho’nuff, a character from the 80’s movie and cult classic: The Last Dragon.

That said, you might have this one fear that the fightstick is all show with subpar performance. However, this could not be further from the truth…

The fact of the matter is the ShoGun of Harlem FightStick packs premium parts. Forget about parts that break all the time, requiring you to shell out bucks. Instead, we are talking about:

  • Sanwa JLF joystick
  • Qanba Gravity KS buttons
  • Brook Gen-5X board

The joystick is responsive and durable. As for the 30 mm buttons in the Sega 2P layout, they are fast due to their optical switches. Three other buttons can be found on the top panel, and they serve as function buttons.

Regarding the board, it provides you diverse compatibility with almost zero input delay. Oh, and you can find the USB-A port tucked neatly into the fightstick’s center back.

Now, let us talk stability.

First off, the ShoGun of Harlem FightStick is wide enough to place on your lap—without bringing your legs too close together. Of course, the fightstick is suitable to place on your desk too.

Here is another thing: the fightstick’s bottom has some stability implements—ranging from a grip pad to four corner feet. These feet surround some screws. Speaking of screws, there are six of them, so if you need to unscrew the fightstick one day, you should be able to do so quickly and with ease.

Moving on, one way to describe the fightstick’s shape is that it has partial circles coming out of its edges at times. For example, the top panel’s sides show the fingers of Sho’nuff (who looks like he is ready to give you a spinning piledriver).

Now, you may be wondering, “Hey, Sho’nuff looks like a cool character and all, but I would much rather have my fightstick display a character I like more.”

Well, are you in luck because this fightstick has customizable artwork! Not only that, we at The Arcade Stick specialize in putting together custom art, and we would love to do that for you.

You see, we can provide you custom art for the top and sides featuring a favorite character of yours. For example, our Carlos Martinez made art for his client featuring a similar theme, and he can make art for you too:

You can spice up your fightstick even more with a different colored joystick and buttons. Otherwise, the bottom pad features the JackWagon FightSticks logo in the middle.

To save the best for the last: this fightstick can glow—like the superstar that you are—by way of programmable LEDs. These can be controlled through a remote or app.

So, for those who are counterculture and would like to combine performance with a unique look, the ShoGun of Harlem FightStick is desperately crying out for you to pick it up—making it your own. This leaves us with one question…

Will you rise up to the occasion?
