Introduction
Once upon a time, there was a pro fighting gamer from an island nation called Japan, and he was in charge of optimizing the layout of a leverless controller that we at The Arcade Stick are proud to present to you: the Victrix Pro KO. Oh, and that pro fighting gamer was Momochi!
The fact of the matter is that the Pro KO is licensed by Xbox and PlayStation, so it is expected to work on future PlayStation consoles as well.
The Pro KO features Victrix buttons. In fact, there are up to 16 moveable and mappable buttons. There is plenty of wrist resting space, and this space is sloped at a 6.28° angle for your wrists’ comfort.
Unboxing
Enjoy extra buttons with your order of the Pro KO, allowing you to access features of modern fighting games. This is made even easier with the accompanying instructional card.
When in need, you can use the free switch puller for hot swapping purposes. When you travel with the Pro KO, be sure to slide it into the included protective sleeve.
Performance
With hot swappable Cherry MX Speed Silver RGB switches, the Pro KO strives for precision and responsivity with every press. These linear switches are relatively quiet.
As for the RGB LED, it glows around each button, and you can customize color combinations to come up with something you like. Customizing the LED can be done directly on the controller or through software that is usable with the Pro KO called the Victrix Control Hub.
Truth be told, the light rings around the Pro KO’s buttons might make it harder for you to perform sliding techniques across the buttons with your fingers.
On the bright side, the Pro KO features a traditional button layout that simply works. Not only that, the controller’s size makes it optimal for both desk and lap play.
Essentially, the rubber bottom keeps the Pro KO stable on a desk, and if you like wearing shorts, the bottom should not make your legs as cold as Siberia.
By the way, the Pro KO has a 3.5 mm audio port for microphone input and stereo output, making it easier for you to stay in the zone during a gaming session. In addition, if you happen to be competing at a tournament, you can utilize the tournament lock to disable function buttons.
Speaking of function buttons, they are tactically located so they do not get in your way as you are pulling off some of the toughest combos known to humankind with your brand new Pro KO.
Even the touchpad is nicely tucked into the upper left corner of the Pro KO’s top panel, and it looks like an actual touchpad instead of just another function button.
Hardware
Not only is the Pro KO slim, it also has built-in storage for:

The Pro KO’s weight is noticeable without being overbearing, and this is despite the metal being sturdy. As for the controller’s mounting posts, they allow for a handle or shoulder strap, letting you carry the controller more easily.
The aluminum plate on top of the Pro KO is removable for easier modding, and you can also have it laser engraved. The braided USB-C cable is detachable for your convenience as well.
Appearance
Visually, the Pro KO is an elegant masterpiece. Its combination of a gray case with buttons that can glow purple makes it a proper representation of the bestselling Victrix brand. Even the cable is nice and purple. The LED truly brings the controller to life.
On a closing note, it is not easy for your fingerprint smudges to appear on the controller after a long bout of play. In our experience, a smudged controller can look unsightly, so thankfully, the Pro KO does really not suffer from this.
