Overview
The Keybox Maverick is a handmade controller that is inspired by the SNES controller. Its directional keys allow it to double as a WASD controller as well. There are buttons for attacks on the right, and two rows of function buttons can be found nearby.
The Kailh Choc V2 switches of the Maverick are hot swappable, and the switch colors include:
- Blue
- Brown
- Red
Even the keycaps and the Maverick’s case itself can have different colors. For example, you can have a light gray case with magenta keys and mint keycaps. You can mix things up even further, featuring more than three colors.
Regarding compatibility, the Maverick runs on the open source GP2040-CE firmware. Through a third party adapter, you can extend the compatibility of the controller to be compatible with more consoles. In any case, be sure to have a USB-C cable ready to enjoy playing with the controller as soon as you get it.
