Overview

Imagine the Discord logo in the form of a fightstick… The STIMM Stick has entered the chat!

Since its entry into the fighting game community, JackWagon FightSticks has been on a roll, releasing some of the most innovative fightsticks you have ever seen. With the STIMM Stick, the case is no different. Its name is dedicated to Jack who is on the spectrum.

That said, you can get the STIMM Stick as a fightstick that you can plug and play with or as a standalone enclosure if you like to tinker.

The Qanba Gravity LX screw-in buttons of the STIMM Stick are laid out in a unique way that will have your right wrist ergonomically slanted. The layout mixes the best of the Noir and Vewlix layouts. The buttons are linear, quiet, and durable, lasting you a long time without frequently dipping into your savings account for repairs.

Regarding the STIMM Stick’s six function buttons, JackWagon chose a good brand for these as well: they are Qanba D-lites. You can find three of those white buttons per side of the fightstick, putting both of your hands to use. Those tactile buttons are fast, and they are also scratch resistant.

As for the STIMM Stick’s joystick, it is the Sanwa JLF that we at The Arcade Stick have often seen excellent fightsticks use. This joystick is snappy and responsive, returning to neutral smoothly after you let go of it.

The USB-A passthrough of the STIMM Stick can be found in the center back, a tactical location to prevent the cable from being an obstacle while you play.

Now, the STIMM Stick’s top/bottom panel is held together by only six screws, so it should not be tedious for you to unscrew it for modding purposes.

Looking inside the STIMM Stick, you should find the Brook P5 Plus PCB that provides you compatibility with PlayStation 5 fighting games and more. Plus, it has tiny input delay, meaning your gameplay will be sharper than Ron Harper. Another option is running on the critically acclaimed GP2040-CE firmware with a compatibility extending dongle.

Appearance-wise, the STIMM Stick is reminiscent of the Buttercade Bomber and DuelPad Zen, but it has enough nuance to set it apart from its competitors.

There is a foam pad at the bottom to keep your STIMM Stick in place as you play, and it has JackWagon engraved on it. What boosts the fightstick’s stability further is the four clear feet, which are especially useful if you play on a desk.

If you have not noticed already, the STIMM Stick is supposed to have neon colors, so the main buttons are green, and the joystick washer is red. Needless to say, she is a beauty.

Simply put, this is the kind of fightstick you can perform well with at a tournament while looking stylish at the same time. So, if performance and looks are what you seek in a fightstick, then add the STIMM Stick to your shopping list.
