Overview
Pinkful is one of the bestselling Etsy shops, specializing in products that range from Nintendo Switch accessories to leverless controllers—straight out of Hong Kong.
On your controller, there can be 15 main buttons and three function buttons. The 15 main buttons mean that you can put your left pinky to use, and they also mean that this is a dual layout controller—with the second layout being WASD (especially useful if you come from a keyboard background). Having a dual layout controller saves you money and storage space.
(By the way, there exists a southpaw layout edition too. Just let Fang from Pinkful know that it’s the layout you want.)
An additional good design element is the fact that the two thumb buttons are bigger than the rest. This allows you to press those buttons with your thumbs’ sides easily. As for the function buttons, they’re bigger than average, so say goodbye to tiny pins that may otherwise hurt your fingers!
Structurally, eight screws hold the controller together. Four feet—one per bottom corner—are optional for stability purposes. That said, the controller runs on a Raspberry Pi Pico chip.
Raspberry Pi Pico? What about it?
This chip means there’s almost no input lag, and there’s also SOCD cleaning—keeping your controller legal at tournaments. This controller conveniently comes with a USB-C cable, so no need to buy one yourself.
Looks-wise, the controller looks decent. For real, though? LED is what makes the controller visually pop. This time, the LED serves as backlighting for the buttons—as opposed to individual lighting per button.
Hey, how about you buy a standard controller for yourself and another southpaw controller for your left handed friend? With thousands of sales on Etsy, Pinkful is likely to satisfy your needs!
