Introduction
You know that one Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito movie, Twins? What about the FightBox R10-Twin, though? It lets you play twin-stick games like arena shooters with Japanese joysticks!
Unboxing
To keep things simple, your new R10-Twin should be arriving in a blue and orange FightBoxArcade package with a detachable USB-B cable inside.
Performance
The R10-Twin uses Sanwa joysticks that are responsive, flexible, clicky, and with an optimal travel distance. On the flip side, the Baolian buttons are somewhat like Sanwa buttons—but stiffer and with a longer travel distance.
In addition to the R10-Twin’s four primary buttons, you can find two buttons on the left side and two more buttons on the right side (near the front). You can use them to play pinball. As for what the four function buttons are for:

- Home
- TP
So, the R10-Twin’s primary, side, and function buttons are 12 total. About the joysticks, they let you spin, strafe, or volley in twin-stick games like Robotron: 2084. In fact, most twin-stick games seem to use the left joystick to move and right joystick to fire.
Hardware
The R10-Twin is a big, hefty metallic controller with an acrylic panel, and there’s a sloped wrist rest for your comfort. Not just that, there are four stabilization feet to keep the controller in place while you play.
That said, the R10-Twin is compatible with more than just the Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and Android. Need to find the USB-B port, by the way? It’s in the controller’s center back.
Better yet, the R10-Twin controller operates on the open source GP2040-CE firmware, partially because of its Advanced Breakout Board and Zero Delay Arcade Joystick Controller Board—based on the popular Raspberry Pi Pico.
Appearance
So, what does the R10-Twin look like?
