Introduction
You may know SiTong for its awesome buttons, but it also sells controllers on Alibaba with a minimum order quantity of just one controller, including the G5 case. This case can be ordered in lever or leverless format. Also, the button count is not fixed, giving you freedom.
Performance
The G5 can perform as good as the buttons and/or joystick you can install in it, such as a Korean joystick. Korean joysticks can fit if you’re a wizard with flat screws.
That’s because flat screws can make a Korean joystick fit a case’s interior that’s not so spacious. However, what you lose in internal space, you gain in overall slimness.
On the G5’s top, the surface is frosted to avoid sticking to your skin, and the ergonomic slope for your wrists? It’s splendid. That said, the case is sized well for both lap and desk play.
There are even four small silicone pads at the bottom to keep the G5 stable on any surface, and another option is to have one big silicone pad down yonder instead.
Hardware
Made of anodized aluminum, the G5 feels luxurious and hefty. It’s held together by M4 screws, and there’s an optional 6 mm stainless steel plate, but the case is not too heavy to place on your lap. We’ve established earlier that this case is good for lap play.
Moving on, the G5’s side panels are made of CNC aluminum alloy, and they come in different models. There, the function button sizes include 20, 24, and 38 mm. You can even see a USB-B port on the right side, though it’s unlikely you have a USB-B cable lying around…
On the bright side, you can choose a PCB to make your G5 as responsive as possible—as well as compatible with many modern consoles.
Appearance
It’s up to you if you’d like to buy a G5 in black or silver. You can make the case look even nicer by mixing & matching its button and/or joystick colors. Just note that a joystick build would increase the number of the already many screws visible from the top panel.
