Introduction
Imagine you’re in control of the Starship Enterprise. Actually, the Nonbliep Wired Arcade Stick makes you feel like you’re in control of the starship with its whopping 12 function buttons, five lights, and two toggles!
Performance
The Wired Arcade Stick has eight buttons in the Vewlix layout. The buttons can feel inconsistent and not as good as the joystick. The joystick itself is reminiscent of Sanwa quality in the way that it moves smoothly, springing back to neutral when needed.
Moving on, the Wired Arcade Stick’s function buttons are for:
- PS
- Create
- Options
- Auto turbo
- Turbo
- Clear
- L3
- R3
- Macro
- M1
- M2
- M3
Yep, the Wired Arcade Stick has three programmable cusrom macro buttons—each being able to store 16 commands. So, you should be able to map custom combos that way with just one button press.
Otherwise, the Wired Arcade Stick also includes a touchpad, and the toggles are for:
- DP/LS/RS
- On/off
That said, the Wired Arcade Stick has an ergonomic slope for your wrists. In fact, the whole top panel is sloped, but the slope gets more intense near the wrists.
Hardware
The Wired Arcade Stick doesn’t feel very sturdy, but it weighs enough to be stable on your lap or desk. Also, the side grooves allow you to carry the arcade stick with ease.
As for the braided nylon USB cable, it comes out of the back left. The Wired Arcade Stick actually has a compartment where you can store that cable when not playing. This makes travel with the arcade stick even easier.
If you’d like to mod your Wired Arcade Stick, you’re in for a challenge because it’s not that easy to unscrew. Therefore, it’s only recommended to buy this arcade stick if you like the stock parts.
Appearance
The Wired Arcade Stick comes in white or black, and the joystick is red. The way the arcade stick is shaped is supposed to make it ergonomic, but an added benefit is that the shape simply looks cool and geometric.
Conclusion
The Nonbliep Wired Arcade Stick is an average arcade stick with extra features that don’t add much to the package.
