Introduction

You know that one actor, Diego Luna? Well, what about the NEM Luna? You know… The controller that manages to fit 15 buttons despite being small! Fun fact: NEM.Products is a racing gear company that also makes this cool controller.

Performance

Despite being small, the Luna has a fairly spacious button layout in which the 15 “stovetop” buttons are all the same size. You can press the three extra buttons with your:

  • Right thumb
  • Left thumb
  • Left index finger

You can macro those extra buttons however you please. By the way, the Luna is The Arcade Stick’s first time coming across MMD Princess switches, which this controller uniquely offers you—aside from Kailh Box switches.

Here’s a simple heuristic: if you prefer a lighter press, go for the MMD Princesses—and unleash your inner princess (or prince). That said, here’s a breakdown of the switches you can buy a Luna with:

BoxRed45 gf1.8 mm

Hardware

The Luna is 3D printed from a popular material for leverless controllers called ABS. Internally, the slim and light controller is designed with robustness in mind, meaning you shouldn’t worry about malleability when resting your hands on it—or even pressing its buttons.

Speaking of buttons, you can find three function buttons on the Luna top panel’s upper left. More interestingly, this USB-C controller runs on the acclaimed GP2040-CE firmware that provides you features like:

  • Button remapping
  • Online updates
  • SOCD cleaning

Based!

Appearance

Truth be told, the Luna is black, and funny enough, it’s reminiscent of the kind of carpet you may find in an office building. Though, since this controller is handmade, your unit may have tiny scratches and general nuances like:

  • Lamination marks
  • Size differences
  • Uneven color

In closing, you may be interested in knowing that you can see six screws at the Luna’s bottom (so, not that many).

Conclusion

The Luna can be your best friend if you’re looking for a compact controller with 15 buttons of the same size—three of which you can press with your right thumb, left thumb, and left index finger—especially if you’d like to try the rare MMD Princess switches. It’s up to you if you’d like to order this controller from NEM.Products’ own site or its BOOTH.
