Overview

They say that, in life, there are no free lunches. By the same token, if you buy the Kitty Stick, you’ll own one of the coolest fightsticks known to our planet—despite not having the most optimal ergonomics. On the bright side, you can make it stand up on its feet in your room!

Assembled in France by hand, your purchase of a Kitty Stick should be arriving this way:

  • Dual protective layer
  • Bubble wrap
  • Strong cardboard
  • Reinforced edges

That said, the Sanwa JLF joystick (or its clones) is compatible with the Kitty Stick, giving you the responsivity you desire. Even the buttons are the bestselling Sanwa OBSF-30, meaning they are the large 30 mm kind, and their travel distance is optimal. Otherwise, you can buy this fightstick in DIY form for some tinkering fun.

On the right side of the Kitty Stick’s top panel, you can find three 10 mm buttons for functions such as:

  1. Start
  2. Back
  3. Home

Onward, the Kitty Stick comes with the popular Raspberry Pi Pico chip and runs on the open source GP2040 firmware that we at The Arcade Stick have grown accustomed to. Not only that, the USB-C cable is tied for your convenience.

Visually, the Kitty Stick is clear, and most of its nuance comes from its light purple joystick, pink buttons, and multicolored frame that includes:

  • Light purple
  • Pink
  • Green

The Kitty Stick’s black cable may not be the best match for the above colors, but it does match with the black function buttons. Regardless, with a fightstick as unique as this one, it’s important to overlook any pet peeves—and grab a unit today if you’re the type of fighting gamer who’s a true cat lover!
