Overview

In many ways, Ionic Impact is a black swan. It’s based in Switzerland—a country not known for fightsticks—and its website is so sleek, which is a breath of fresh air.

With lever and leverless layouts available, Ionic Impact offers you DIY cases like:

  1. Ionic Fightstick Case
  2. Doric Fightstick Case

It should only take you about an hour to build, say, the second case listed above: the Doric. Nope, you don’t need any technical knowledge or soldering skills prior!

(Fun fact: Doric refers to an ancient Greek style of architecture.)

That said, your brand new Doric should conveniently arrive with:

  • Acrylic parts
  • Corners
  • Screws
  • Bolts
  • Allen key
  • Rubber feet

Let’s talk about the Doric’s corners and acrylic parts specifically. Each acrylic panel’s thickness is 4 mm, so less than a quarter of an inch. As for the corners, there are two types:

  • A-Type: aluminum
  • P-Type: 3D printed

The aluminum is CNC machined, but if you decide to go for the P-Type mixed variation, you’d have to let Stu from Ionic Impact know which colors you want for each of the Doric’s corners, such as the three following colors:

  1. White
  2. Gray
  3. Black

Thankfully, the Doric has Brook PCB mounting holes. What does this mean? This means you can install a high end board with lots of console compatibility options—and almost zero input latency. As fighting gamers, these are crucial to us.

Whether you’re European or from another continent, Ionic Impact may have what you need in terms of an elegant case you can feel proud after building—and then hopefully win tournament after tournament!
