Introduction

For the most part, FightBoxArcade’s bestselling controllers have been fairly rectangular in shape, but this time around, the A10 has one of this legendary brand’s most flamboyant shapes yet. Not only that, it performs in a way that we’d love to talk to you about!

Unboxing

This section will be real short. Basically, your A10 arrives with a detachable USB-A cable that goes into its USB-B port, which you can find in the controller’s center back. Now, let’s move on…

Performance

Here’s the rundown. The A10 can have 15 main buttons, including three extra buttons for your:

  1. Left pinky
  2. Right index
  3. Right thumb

The A10’s 15 buttons are Crown SDB-203C buttons. These silent yet tactile Samducksa buttons are infused with Cherry MX Speed Silver switches. Cool beans, but what does that even mean? So, check out the switches’ specs:

Lifespan50 million presses

Hardware

Comprised of acrylic, the A10’s weight is in between average and heavy. More importantly, the controller is wide enough for comfortable lap placement as you wavedash your way to tournament gold. For tabular placement, this controller has anti-slip feet.

Meanwhile, wanna know what’s inside the A10? Simply put, you get to see some clean wiring—as well as one of the following low latency PCB options that depend on your budget and needs:

  • Pico Plus (limited compatibility)
  • Brook Gen-5 (more compatibility)
  • Brook Gen-5X (max compatibility)

Your PCB of choice will also determine what your A10’s stiff Baolian aux buttons will do. Stiff aux buttons are good because they’re harder to press by accident. Anyway, here’s what your six aux buttons could do:

Appearance

The A10 could have been inspired by a well known enclosure in the fightstick community called the BnB. However, it’s a bit different, such as by having some curvature in its edges. Its corner pillar design is pretty rad too.

In any case, epic gamer, we’d love to design your controller’s art here at The Arcade Stick through our art service. In fact, here are some samples by our artist Budi Kurniawan for the A10’s top, bottom, and side panels:

Gouken, Akuma, Heihachi, and Jinpachi

(Got some A10 art already? No biggie, we can just print that for you.)

Conclusion

The A10 is a rare opportunity for you to play at a high level without your nearby opponent hearing your button presses—nor your neighbors waking up past midnight.

  • Fast Cherry MX switches
