Introduction

The Nabe Controller is the final boss of Akekon Dojo controllers. In Japanese, it literally means pot controller! By pot, we’re referring to the cooking tool, not the herb…

Performance

Akekon Dojo gives you the luxury of choosing a lever or leverless Nabe Controller. The leverless edition has 15 main buttons, and the lever edition has 10 of them. These are Seimitsu buttons, but the joystick is unbranded.

Speaking of joysticks, let’s focus on the Nabe Controller’s lever edition, which seems like the default edition. This fightstick has mostly 30 mm main buttons, and the rightmost thumb button is the only 24 mm button.

You can also find three function buttons on the Nabe Controller’s top panel. On a side note, you might like the fact that the fightstick has rubber feet.

Hardware

The Nabe Controller is essentially an aluminum pot. For its behemoth size, it’s still moderately weighted. Further, you can carry it by its two handles.

Moreover, the Nabe Controller’s lid has two clamps you can unlock to then remove the lid and access the internals if needed. Once you’re inside the fightstick, you’ll likely notice the low latency Raspberry Pi Pico chip. By the way, the fightstick’s port is USB-C.

Appearance

The Nabe Controller is a golden pot with a black joystick, handles, and main buttons. Well, the two thumb buttons are light pink and light blue. Just note that the handmade manufacturing may scratch your unit’s aluminum a little.

As we wrap up, we’d like to tell you that—while the Nabe Controller does have LED support—you’d have to order it with only one color in mind. With that, here are the three LED color options:

  1. Blue
  2. Pink
  3. White

Conclusion

We can bore you by repeating all the good things about the Nabe Controller, but by all means, your number one reason to buy it would be that it’s a rare chance to buy a pot that actually works as a fightstick.

The Nabe Controller is a great conversation starter too. If you don’t live in Japan, don’t hesitate to order this unique fightstick through a proxy service—and unlock your inner chef!
