Overview

The MK Mechbox Modular Fight Stick Arcade Controller allows you to choose your preferred directional input method:

  1. Left handed all-button
  2. Right handed all-button
  3. WASD
  4. Joystick

You can order your brand new Mechbox with one of the above modules, and you can grab any other module later—whenever you want.

Fundamentally, you should be able to swap the aforementioned modules within seconds. You can also rotate them for your comfort—finding the perfect angle for you to dominate at fighting games with your trusty Mechbox.

The slightly sloped magnetic POM top panel allows for quick layout changes and easy access to the Mechbox’s internals. As for the attack buttons, they are in the popular Noir layout.

Four function buttons can be found in the back right. Regarding the switches, they are hot swappable in case you have another preference. Inside the Mechbox, you will likely find the Brook UFB Fusion PCB for extensive compatibility—and almost zero latency.

By the way, enjoy the carry case that comes with the Mechbox! It has compartments for any additional modules as well as the USB-C cable. You can find the USB-C port tucked neatly near the back center.

The Mechbox’s anodized aluminum base is available in at least four colors (along with their model numbers):

  1. Black (MKMB-24B)
  2. Purple (MKMB-24P)
  3. Red (MKMB-24R)
  4. Silver (MKMB-24S)

In any case, the modules have a gray base, adding to the retro look—if not Bauhaus. Also, the front is engraved with the Mechbox logo. On a side note, it’s nice how the logo has a joystick instead of the letter “O”.

To summarize: instead of spending your hard earned money on a few controllers just so you have access to lever, leverless, and WASD layouts, you can simply go for the Mechbox—which also has plenty to offer beyond being modular.
