Leverless Edition
Introduction
The FS-MINI Arcade Fight Stick is a fighting game controller that is available in both lever and leverless editions. It is a remix of an open source design. Preassembled and DIY formats are available too, meaning your preference is matched.
Performance
As indicated by its name, the FS-MINI is a mini controller. It was designed with low profile 24 mm buttons in mind. That said, Sanwa and Seimitsu buttons of that size should fit.
Why go for Sanwa, for example? That’s because its parts are known for their durability, responsivity, and having optimal travel distance.
You can even go for a Nobi Bullet lever to go on your FS-MINI if you like!
If you want to go for a silent build, you can enjoy the FS-MINI with a Qanba Gravity silent joystick as well as silent MX switches. Otherwise, the default joystick is the Sanwa JLF, and the default buttons are the open source OSBMX.
As for the FS-MINI’s default switches, they are the linear MX style, and your options include:
- Akko Silver Pro
- Outemu Silent Peach
(Silver Pros are fast and smooth, while Silent Peaches are soft and quiet.)
To wrap up this section: the OLED screen of the FS-MINI shows you valuable information such as your inputs, input mode, directional mode, and SOCD cleaning mode.
Hardware
The FS-MINI is 3D printed from PLA, has a premium feel, and runs on the open source GP2040 firmware that is highly acclaimed. This means that the SOCD cleaning modes at your disposal include neutral, up priority, and last priority.
Just keep in mind that wire management may be tight when it comes to the FS-MINI’s interior. In fact, this part may take you the most time if you go for the DIY option. Basically, you want to avoid the wires pressing up on the top panel in a way that might affect your performance.
That said, the FS-MINI uses a USB-C cable (the industry’s favorite type), although the cable is shorter than average. On the bright side: the Neutrik USB-C passthrough is state of the art, and what seals the deal is the included PlayStation 5 authentication device.
Appearance
The FS-MINI allows you to customize its colors to your liking. We are talking about the joystick, buttons, top panel, middle panel, and bottom panel. Some ideas include going for a retro Nintendo color scheme as well as the colors of your favorite team.

If you are in the market for a mini fightstick with vast customizability, be sure to take a look at the FS-MINI.
