Introduction
Sometimes, it’s hard to believe that we still use wired arcade sticks in this day and age. They require you to be at a certain distance from the screen—and even pose a trip hazard. Then again, we have wireless arcade sticks like the STK-T01, which includes other interesting features too!
Unboxing
The STK-T01 comes in a mostly white box with some orange accents. Truth be told, this isn’t the type of arcade stick that comes with a dozen freebies… Instead, it comes with an English manual, which is appreciated by us who don’t speak Mandarin (yet).
Performance
The STK-T01 has eight main buttons in the classic Vewlix layout. There are three more buttons of the same size:
- LSB (left stick button)
- RSB (right stick button)
- Macro
Essentially, you can macro (or combine) inputs on your STK-T01 to pull off moves more easily—whereas you can record up to 18 presses. You’re probably going to press the macro button with your thumb. Other than that, there are four small function buttons for:
- Turbo
- Select
- Start
- Home
Furthermore, the STK-T01 has three toggles:
- LS / DP / RS
- Wireless / wired / off
- Headphone / mic mute / headphone off
Now’s a good time to tell you what the STK-T01’s screen does: it tells you the status of the above. For example, it tells you if you chose LS, DP, or RS. Don’t know what these are? They stand for left stick, D-pad, and right stick respectively.
Of course, the STK-T01 has a touchpad as well, and let’s not forget about the knob, encoder, or rotary dial—whatever you want to call it. If you rotate this knob clockwise, you can go from “connection mode” to “PC” and then to “reconnect”, for instance.
Do you like playing with headphones on, by the way? They help keep you in the zone—as well as avoid waking up your roommate. Put simply, the STK-T01 has a 3.5 mm headphone port on its front panel for this.
Hardware
The STK-T01 is made of a kind of material commonly used to make arcade sticks, which is ABS. Its main benefit is impact resistance. As for the joystick lever, it’s probably stainless steel. Admittedly, the joystick as a whole isn’t the best, and it may partially come off during play.
On the bright side, the STK-T01 has a subtle wrist slope so you don’t develop carpal tunnel, and it’s also got four bigger-than-average rubber feet to stay put when you mash out tough combos.
That said, you’re most interested in the STK-T01’s three connectivity methods, right? They include:
- Bluetooth
- 2.4 GHz
- Wired
In essence, the STK-T01 has a 1,000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery for wireless play. Not only that, you can find a 2.4 GHz receiver in a bottom compartment.
Flip the STK-T01 over, and you can find the 2.4 GHz receiver compartment near the rubber foot in the upper left corner. As for the USB-C port, it’s in the back center (a state-of-the-art location).

Appearance
With its white case and black buttons, the STK-T01 looks like an arcade stick that a Stormtrooper would use. Its black buttons are a bit see-through, and under them, you should be able to see red switches.
When you look at the STK-T01 from a top-down view, it starts getting narrower near the bottom, which is cool. That aside, the LED is interesting because it glows around the joystick—instead of around the buttons. We at The Arcade Stick appreciate such uniqueness. Furthermore, the LED has seven colors—as well as four modes:
- Gradient
- Slow flash
- Monochrome
- Flowing water

Conclusion
While it’s cool that the STK-T01 fits unique features like a macro button into a compact space, you really want to buy it for the wireless feature that spares you from wire-related problems.
