Overview
The Tboxx is a box controller that is 3D printed. It is based on the integrated Open Frame1, just smaller. If you are familiar with the Rana Tadpole, the Tboxx may be described as double the size. Otherwise, the case has heat set inserts to make assembly and disassembly easy for you. Also, you can choose the case and button colors to match your taste.
Because the buttons of the Tboxx are 20 mm, this means that the controller is compatible with many 20 mm buttons, opening up your options. Another neat aspect is that the controller uses MX style switches that are hot swappable, so you can take your creative liberties with any compatible switches of your choice (without the need for soldering).
Possible switch choices include:
- Akko CS Air
- Akko CS Vintage White
- Akko Silver Pro
- Outemu Silent Peach
For your convenience, a USB-C to GCC braided cable is included with your purchase. You can also use a USB-C to A cable, depending on your preference. The Tboxx’s compatibility is achieved by way of flashing with HayBox firmware, but if you would like different firmware, just notify TheTboxShop.
Are you a PC or Slippi player? An additional setup would be needed for HayBox firmware, and TheTboxShop can guide you to the HayBox’s detailed instructions, namely found under the dolphin setup section.
So, if you are in the market for a smaller box controller, check out the Tboxx. Note that its button layout is subject to improvement, so be sure to check out the latest updated version.
