Overview
New Zealand’s finest offers its Gen 2 V2.1 controller that has easy access to its internals as well as easy artwork swapping. The bottom panel is openable with six screws without dismantling the whole unit, and the top panel only has four screws. For custom art, we at The Arcade Stick have a custom art service.
The top panel is made of two acrylic layers of 5 mm thickness. The joystick hole is 35 mm, which is perfect for Korean joysticks. Cell phone control and button LED are available, the latter of which is available in blue, red, and smoke semi-clear black. You can opt for Sanwa OBSF, clear, or metallic buttons. The air-force-standard USB cable is detachable.
SOCD cleaning seems to be supported by all of the offered PCBs. The alternative SOCD button can be found on the left side, three auxiliary buttons can be found on the right side, and four auxiliary buttons can be found on the back. The number of auxiliary buttons may differ.
